Catching up……

It has been really long that I have written a post….so this post is all about catching up……events are in no order. So let’s see what I have to say about the time I have spent being away.
To my surprise I went home just once this year and have been staying away and I am so not liking it. I miss Mom and Dad.
In August I met my brother, almost after one and a half year, and it was not that fun. I just realized what it feels like when your loved one is hurt. This was one of the strenuous episodes I have dealt with and learned a lot of lessons. I will discuss this in detail on some other post because I have a lot to say about this.
Well nonetheless I came closer to my big brother and my sister in law in this process, seeing my nephew grow old is another delicious thing that I have experienced although I won’t say the time I have spent with him is a lot. But what ever I have spent is memorable and he is a real treat
In the middle of all this I got a chance to visit Petronous tower. I saw the giant structure of steel right in front of me, which otherwise I would have read about or just have learned about it on the Discovery channel. But to my grief the timing did not allow me visit the sky bridge.

I have suddenly found my self changing. The tolerable things suddenly started being intolerable… some friends drifted apart, some relation faded, some new faces came in, found some new friends, mended some old meddled relations, my view point towards my life is changing and I am really happy that the change has finally come.
I wish to change more… wish to be more ambitious and aware…put some meaning to my life…Do things that I like more often…..Take a stand for myself and stop being a pushover.

The major event that I would like to share is my participation in the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon and above all completion of the same.
Most people would think that this is not a big deal but it was kind of a big deal for me. I am really glad I did that … and I did a big favor to myself.

I wish to do more of running and do it better.
This year was the coldest Delhi I have ever experienced with all it's fog and smog that has kept me sleepless for several nights.
Anyways, I think that’s all for the updates from my side…The new year has brought a lot of new perspective and I guess that’s how life goes on :) So how have you been?

I was wondering, Why?

I remember once when in a fit of rage I abused my friend and called her bitch. She didn’t talk to me for next two days, the third day she said “You called me bitch?” (Read it with a tone and emotion filled with accusation and hurt), at that moment I expressed my grief most uncomfortably and not at all successfully. Later on the friendship became so strong that “Bitch” was not an abuse any more, it was more an expression of fond.

Talking of abuse, I was kind of concluding while thinking today morning that in all the bad words or abusive language that has been invented, women have been the target.
Now, is that power play by the male species who have invented the abusive language or their ego or because of the love for women or the absence of it. I don’t know why all the abusive words, slang, sentences, expressions etc will have the female gender in some or the other way

Disclaimer: People with highly sensitive moral and social value should read after this at their own risk. If WhoEver’s sentiments gets hurt after reading what is coming next then WhoEver is free to sue WhoEver they want to :-)

Now! For Example if you have to swear on a girl you will call her “Bitch”, I agree that’s fine. But if you have to call names to a guy you will call him “Son of a bitch” now why do you want to call some ones mom a bitch rather than the person who has actually caused you harm (Or not).

I happened to discuss this example with a friend of mine, his argument was, “That’s not true, we have abusive words that only concerns men, like Dog, Scoundrel, Bastard”.

Well in my opinion “Dog” doesn’t sound as abusive as “Bitch”, Dictionary meaning of “Scoundrel” is evil person and a person can be male and female both, so that’s again a unisex abusive word and the last word was “Bastard” famously used when you want to say that your mother don’t know who your father is.

My friend’s argument to this is still pending, but have you managed to notice the “mother doesn’t know who the father is” becomes an abusive word. So what! a girl had sex with more than one guy and forgot to keep a check. Why should it be an issue? Men never care about how many girls they are having sex with and they don’t put a check on whom they are knocking off. But it’s a Big Deal; it’s so big that an independent abusive word is born due to it.

Recently, I had a chance to be in a different country for 15 days… for all the time I have stayed there I saw welcoming and smiling faces saying “bitte Schon”(please), “danke schon”(thanks) and when I landed back in New Delhi air port and reached the taxi stand. I saw ugly taxi drivers drunk and high early in the morning swearing without any reason to what ever is coming in their way “Behen C***” (Sister F****r), “Maa C***” (Mother “F****r).

Now! What the hell are the mom and the sis doing in between all of what ever is going on?

I the middle of all this thinking I grabbed a news paper and started reading it. I learned there is some Russian scientist named “Tesla” who was equally capable as “Edison” or may be ahead of him and was about to invent “Wireless transmission of electricity”, I thought Oh!! That’s fantastic, but unfortunately “Tesla” was poisoned and I don’t know why “Edison” didn’t work on it further. But I was wondering, I have never heard of a female inventor!

Why? Have you heard of any?

mar-ke-ting

In a country like India where owning fire arms(ofcourse without licence) is a crime, I wonder how these people are making money? Thank god! they have not hired any celebrity or cricketer to endorse their product out of desperation.
